Bedtime reading with my son; a great book that should be an easy read for middle schoolers or precocious grade schoolers. It's a bit of sci-fi, some steampunk of sorts, and a movie tie-in that wasn't half bad. The best part is reading a post-apocalyptic book that won't scare the bejeezus out of a kid below the age of 10. Also the beginning of a series, which is always fun.
