I want to give it the benefit of the doubt but this is one of the worst "romance" books I've ever read. The romance is nearly non-existent. It's more like he's been in love with her for years and she is now just realizing he exists.

Actually, scratch that. This is one of the worst books I've ever read. The conflict gets glazed over at the end and actually undercuts the entire found family narrative. This story reads like it came from the mind of a 12 year old who kept going "What if..." and then wove them together with a barely perceptible plot.

Not spicy, I loved it!!! Some kissing and unrelated nudity.

I really enjoyed the story and all the magical people!!! You could really see this story!!!

loved it!!! would have been a 5 star read if the
third act breakup wasn’t so stupid and resolved so weakly. She evicts and throws him out for helping with the inspection problem but just accepts help from her newly found parents? The excuse for that in book was not… good enough and felt hypocritical

I really loved this book. I thought it was really cute and the found family aspect was amazing. The ending felt a bit rushed and kind of swept over. The romance felt a bit weird at times, especially in the beginning. But overall, I loved it and would love to know more about the rest of the inhabitants at Violet Gable instead of just Iris and Eli.

Pure sugar. This book was pure sugar. Not always the good kind.

I liked the themes of friendship and found family in this book. It was a cute quick read with likeable and believable characters. My issues are that the concept of Iris discovering her fae heritage felt a bit rushed and improbable. I wish there was a more interesting ending other than "long lost parents show up and all is fixed." I was hoping for more of a story arch with the conflict between Iris and her terrible neighbor.

I enjoyed the found family aspect of this. The "romance" didn't do it for me, the guy was basically a stalker.

This was so fucking cute? I loved it so much more than I thought I was. I wish there was more romance and more actual magic, but even that doesn’t take away from how good it was! Such a fun cute story about found family and ugh. Just 10/10 love.
