there has to be another book!!!!!! DON'T LEAVE ME HANGIN LIKE THAT!!!!
This the fifth book in the Charley Davidson series.
The Plot
This is one of the most unique plotlines I have come across. There is lots of humor, suspense, and plenty of mystery. Charley Davidson is not your ordinary grim reaper. Her unique gifts helped her out in many cases she has been handed. Now dead women are showing up in her apartment and Charley believes that a serial killer is on the loose and possibly her sister is next. Of course it doesn't help either when the son of Satan moves in right next door and distracts her in so many delicious ways but Charley will do anything possible to protect her sister - including selling herself to Reyes if it means he can help track down the serial killer before he goes after her sister.
The Characters
Charley Davidson - I love her. She is awesome. She might be the grim reaper but she still has human flaws. She also helps out people with her unique gifts. I don't have any pet peeves with her.
Cookie - How anyone NOT love this woman. She is the mother figure that has brought some stability to Charley's life when she has needed it. She is also the driving force when Charley needs to have her shopping tightened. She makes sure that everything that Charley has bought is sent back. She is the kind of friend that Charley has always been able to count on. She may not see the ghosts but she knows that they are there.
Reyes - The sexy son of Satan. All I can about him is yum and how I truly envy Charley for having gained his attention.
You will definitely love this series probably just as much I do. It is a fun series and it will keep you turning the page and giggling too. I have to say the little sayings on each chapter are funny.
I recommend this book to anyone who love grim reaper stories with humor. You will not regret picking this series up.

I'm disappointed in this series, part of that is possibly..maybe..my expectations being so high after the first book. Also I thought it was a paranormal romance, with emphasis on romance. Yeh, not so. It fails to deliver on that front. The fits and starts approach to relationship development is not very romantic, though this book does try and advance this some. Reyes really doesn't have much to do, he needs to look hot, smoulder and occasionally fight and I'm fine with that. Charley is the problem. Her humour is fun but her timing not so. Maybe that's meant to be part of the characterization. She totally disappoints when she couldn't come to Reyes' rescue, Cookie is the heroine there, and yet her super powers come back to her in protecting Reyes' attacker. yeh..no. Still I'm going to hang in there and hope this series has good stuff in store for me.

Charley seems to have found her groove. In this installment, she's dealing with having Reyes next door, while also trying to find a serial killer.
There were just a few too many witticisms for my taste, but I'll have to admit, the GPS app that blared out directions from different voices, such as Darth Vader and Ozzy Osbourne cracked me up. And I love her relationship with Uncle Bob (Ubie), and how she healing her relationship with her father.
All in all, this was an enjoyable read, and I'm looking forward to the next one.

Yeah I'm done with this series I think. I cannot abide Reyes and his abusive behaviour. Their relationship is completely toxic.
3.5 stars. I love this series but this is my least favorite. I found Charley sarcasm to be annoying instead of funny/charming.
