Just finished and I am dead. DEAD. Omg, seriously.
I think this is my favorite of the series in regards to the characters relationships. The murder mystery aspect of the book was less involved but we’d gotten much more info on the ins and outs of Satans deeds of deception and really just how bad ass Charley is.
just like the first four books by Jones, I could not put this one down. there was definitely more action between Charley and Reyes and they seem to be accepting their inevitable relationship. Charley is becoming stronger, both in her powers and in her overall self confidence where her abilities are concerned. she's still down to earth and hilarious as always. waiting to get my hands on book number 6!

***SPOILER ALERT***The best book in the series thus far. I love the play between Reyes and Charley, especially with him moving next door, and tearing out the wall between their apartments at the end of the book. His proposal is romantic, living, and pure Reyes in tone.
Her search for an arsonist is interesting, but it's clear it's not Reyes, so I thought it must be Earl. Thankfully, it's not, so Charley protects Reyes' sister, who's trying to erase both her pain, and Reyes'.
The serial killer story is very intense and sad as well, with Charley acting before she thinks, as usual.

Shifted this one in the novel from urban fantasy to paranormal-romance as things heat up in Charely's love life. Great story, I just can't wait for the next one! Additionally, secrets are starting to unravel and we are finding out more and more about Charley's Grim powers! Can't wait.
