I just love Charley! Another great book in the series.
Great installment of Charley Davidson. Witty and fast paced read. She and Reyes get into some wild situation. Looking forward to her answer to his last question and what she will do to avoid killing him. Next book please!
Oh man I really am loving this series more and more as I go forward. I don't know why I postponed it for so long. The humor cracks me up and I love Charley's irreverence. She's so snarky and willing to take on anything. I enjoy her growing relationship with Reyes. The growing cast of secondary characters is drawing me in further and further. We've got a new nurse that I think is going to be awesome in the future. On top of that Swopes brought us a lot of new information and I loved his and Reyes back and forth. They're so contentious, but I like that Swopes stands up to him. His friendship with Charley is awesome and I love how she needles him.
This was an interesting case and really pushed Charley to work for things. I liked the way it played out and seeing her relationship with her sister Gemma grow as well. I can't wait to see how things play out with the police captain as well. He certainly suspects somethings up, but I wonder if he really has any clue what is really going on. Need more asap!!! Plus that cliffhanger of what's coming for Reyes...ooooh Rocket I need to know more!

This series just keeps getting better and better. It has everything - mystery, romance, intrigue, and plenty of amusement. I'm jumping right into the next book.

Loved it! Laugh out loud and even had a couple tears. Series is still great!
That last chapter!!!!! Omg Reyes is becoming a fav book boyfriend of mine! Swoon!!!!! Charley has also been getting into some hairy situations. Her reaction to them, is showing "yes, she is also has a human side with emotions." Onto the next one!!!

Since this is the 5th book in the amazing series, I'm going to keep the review short since if you are reading this, you probably already read the other 4 (if you haven't.... DO IT! seriously... stop reading this review and go get the other books.... you can thank me later).
First of all, I absolutely adore how I can walk away from this series for as long as I did and be able to just seamlessly pick up where I left off (I know... it's crazy I was able to walk away... but funds were low and I had a seemingly infinite pile of unread books to tend to). The books give you just enough details to help you remember key events from the last books without making you go, "Oh my god! We get it!"
That being said, Charley and Reyes I'm pretty sure are my new favorite book couple!!! After this ending, I'm now trying to decide if I like "Chareyes" or "Rarley" better but all I can say, without giving too much away, is holy hot DAMN! I fangirled right out at the end and then immediately ordered the next book.
And this book delving more into Charley and her powers, but it really creates more questions than answers. You kind of feel for Charley as you are left with the same sense of frustration and all-consuming curiosity as she is, wondering what exactly she is and what she can do.
This book holds the same par as the others, while simultaneously launching things that will both make you salivate and freak out internally (or externally... what ever floats your boat). I'll say again, if you are reading this and have not been exposed to this brand of awesomeness rolled in paranormal romance and mystery.... get your butt to a bookstore or a website and get to it!

I love it when under the silliness it's actually really heartwarming and beautiful.
Every book has more info more depth more bonding between family members and chosen family.. and ghosts. And there is really good whodunit in every book. The investigations always make sense, there r signs to figure it out. And the journey with Charley and everyone she can absorb into her orbit through solving the cases and figuring out Her role in the.. world is just plain entertaining. And if you like Charley's brand of crazy
