This was a fun start to a new YA graphic novel series! I’m excited to see where the story goes in book two.

Good to see Scottish folklore getting some attention! I liked this—I thought it was going to be YA, so I was pleasantly surprised when it wasn’t. I was hopeful I could finish this one and not need to immediately snag the second book but, unfortunately, it ends on a cliff hanger.

A wonderful fairy tale adventure that demands that you keep reading until it's finished. Compelling characters and a lovingly diverse world that dips in and out of darkness. Sometimes information gets tangled and lost between the narrative and the art but it all comes together eventually. Would have liked a little more closure by the end but if the followup continues the quick and easy style it'll be a joy to read.

Captivating and gorgeous. I quite enjoyed the humour and the quiet moments of storytelling.

A lot is going on. Some of it is confusing, but it has my interest. Sibylla is mouthy and indecisive, and she knows as much about the curse as we do. I would read book two though. Brom's brother is beautiful, by the way.

I'm not familiar with the Scottish tale, so everything is new to me.
