At least one of the main characters in this book is a self-centered jerk who happens to get away with some nonsense, which I did not like even though that was probably the most realistic aspect of this fever dream of a book.

I'm honestly so touched? This book is all about the beauty and wonder of space. Radu Dracul having that almost spiritual experience in the ocean resonated with me so hard. I wanna go live with the cousins too. ♥

Telepathy, talking and communing with whales... I feel like this book is of an era, but at the same time, it still felt relevant and futuristic.

Well, futuristic anyway. The government and world was a bit too simplistic to feel very real.

Still, I enjoyed it.
