Книгата е за мен не е 5 звезди, защото твърде много напомня на една кратка версия на Сянката на вятъра. Но и това е нещото, което умее да прави Сафон. Да пресъздаде една тъмна и потайна Барселона, криеща тайни подземия, драматични персонажи и много драматични събития. Но още преди да започна историята ме налегна една тъга, защото това е предпоследната книга на Сафон, която чета. Една последна спирка, преди да направя финалното пътешествие до един "Призрачен град", и ще оставя Карлос Руис Сафон да се слее с мъглата, и стъпките му завинаги да се стопят в сянката на вятъра.

I feel like maybe the translation did not quite convey the story in the way it was intended. I had a hard time following and was never really invested.

 This book is a story of a secret society with things happening that you couldn't even imagine in a horror movie with a gothic vibe.
The mystery in itself was unbelivable and the relationship between Oscar and Marina really got me emotional.
