5 huge stars! I’m seriously speechless. Fate of the Demon has everything you could want in a story - witches, demons, good, evil, magic, love, even some humour. Brygida is a witch of the lake and Kaspian is the son of a lord who is dying. They live in disparate worlds, but they love each other. Is that love going to be enough? When Lady Rubin, Kaspian’s mother, disappears, they set out on a quest to find her and they discover great evil along the way.

This book is so well written and so wonderfully exciting that I don’t really even know what to say about it other than that I completely loved it! The world is enchanting and the characters are so lifelike and relatable that you can’t help but root for them. It makes me so sad what they are going through and even though I don’t know how it will happen, I just want everything to work out for Brygida and Kaspian! This book is full of mystery and suspense and I guarantee it will keep you on the edge of your seat. I can’t wait for the next book! I seriously can not recommend this series enough!

I received an ARC from the authors and I’m voluntarily leaving an honest review.

I liked the story in this book more than the first one. I think the story is at the strongest when it is focusing on the main plot instead of the romantic subplot. I find that these moments lack any chemistry and wish for  Brygida to look at anyone else.

The characters individually though are actually not bad. The two main characters were interesting, along with the plot that is developing in the second half and that is not doubt the plot for the final book, has me wanting to pick it up. The book has really strong moments with the thriller feeling that it is evoked throughout the book. Something I hope is at the forefront of the final book as this is when I find the book the strongest.

I think if you can get past the lack of chemistry of the main characters you can enjoy the plot of this book and series. How you feel about the first book will be the real judge, as the second feel the same with a different plot.

A fun, quick paced little escape back into this world! I am curious to see how Brygida and Kaspian’s story ends after this book!
