Listened to this on 2 walks. I really liked the thinking behind this book! Useful to me, got the gears turning
Get out of your head and get into your life. Loved his direct writing style...will follow him on Social Media as I try to gain more insight as to how my mind operates
I don't usually go in for "self help" books because generally i feel like they all have the same message. The reason I streamed this one is the Scottish accent. lol! In seriousness though, the author reads his message very well and I'm not sure it would come across the same as text on a page. I'd recommend listening to this book rather than reading... if you can.
He has good thoughts on the whys and hows, and I will likely recommend this one to many people.

lol i’m sure straight, white, neurotypical men love this book!
Meh. I’ve read/listened to better and worse as far as self help/motivational type books go. I liked it in general, but like many books in this genre feel like the author is completely unaware of his own privilege or what additional hurdles marginalized people may face outside of their own thoughts and feelings.
Awful awful book. I would consider it an even crappier version of the book "How to Not Give a Fu*k." When I read a self-help book I am looking for actionable steps that I can implement into my life. This book is for shock value and the condescending nature of the writing makes it almost unbearable. I totally regret paying money for this. Basically the book surmises that everything in life is in your control and that it's your own fault is you have sucky beliefs. He preaches a lot the entire book, but offers no real solutions.
Quite liked it. Bonus because in the audio version, you get to hear all the swearing in an authentic Scottish accent!
There's something about having an angry Scot start yelling at you to actually get you motivated. And his approach, I hope, will work for me in a way other approaches haven't. Positive thinking isn't really my bag. But remembering the "I am willing," "I am not my thoughts; I am what I do" lines I feel like are going to be easier for me to adopt into everyday life.

If you are already a pretty motivated person, you won’t get much out of it. I really liked the last few chapters though!
