Move over Satan because hell has a new king he goes by the name of Bennett Moreno. Mercy is this man every kind of dark and twisted forms of evil this is the start of what's going to be a new dark and eff'd up series.
Bennett is sent to pick up a pkg in the form of Aurora Dupont that was offered as an exchange for a deal.
Aurora will be the one to challenge the devil himself as Bennett takes her away from her life and she's fighting him every step of the way bound and determined to get even with him.
As I was reading this I couldn't help but notice how ruthless, evil, and downright sadistic Michaels has made his character, so get ready because this is just the prequel and I can't wait to see how this series continues.

I loved this story but it was too short! It made me want more and more.
She was promised to a bad family and she had no clue that she was. She was sent into hiding, created a new life, new name, and life was going good for her.
I love Ember Michael's writing. She tells a very good tale of a bad man, and getting what he wants. As well as a strong woman, who can hopefully tolerate and survive what this man wants of her.

If the rest of the series is like this, I’m going to finally get out of my book slump lol.

However, I took a star away because you can’t open an airplane door and dangle someone out of it. That person would get sucked out and so would the person holding them.

Holy moly! 5 stars

This is different you guys.
Different than any other mafia type book I’ve read. It’s a short read but one I couldn’t put down.

WTF!!! That's right I said WTF!! This intro to what I believe is going to be an exhilarating and twisted trilogy. Ember Michaels you are new to me author, and I can not wait to get my greedy little hands on the rest of this trilogy. I do believe you have found a new stalker/follower in me.
If you love a hero that is (and please excuse my language) a$$hole of epic proportions you are going to be drooling over Bennett. I have read many books that say their heroes are dark and twisted, but Bennett is very high on my list of twisted and maybe just a little bit demented heroes.
Aurora, Aurora, Aurora I do believe you are going to give Mr. tall, dark, and very very sinful a run for his money. I can not wait to see how your character grows and I pray that you will bring that man to his knees!!

OMG!!! What did I just read? What the fuckkkk!!!

You. Have. To. Read. This. Now. Right the fuck now.

And oh my lawd, I hate Bennett. I really, really do. He is one sick, fucking bastard. My hands are itching to slug the guy. Gah!!!

This is a delicious, dark read with a lot of triggering themes, so be aware of that. Can't wait to read the next book because this prequel is just a taste to what I feel is a thrilling, spine tingling, romantic suspense to date.

This is the first book I have read from Ember. It is indeed a very intense interesting book. I was a little upset with the ending. But this book is interesting and will grip you into the story. Bennett has a job from his father. He has to go after the girl that was promised to his father once she turned 18. But instead of giving her over like he was suppose to her father hide her away. Now she is dealing with the consequences of her father's actions. Those consequences are Bennett. Intense interesting storyline so glad that there is a second book as I need more from these two characters and this storyline.
