Shocked to say Movie did a better take on the story. Comic kinda ended up going all over the place to distract from the main couple, lot of tell, don't show.

Did it have a bizarre borderline-racist white-savior complex subplot? Yes.
Am I going to watch the JLO movie adaptation? Also yes.

Having  watched the Jennifer Lopez movie that is based on this graphic novel I thought I would give this a try and although it was cute it differs greatly from the movie but it was cool.
