I love this one! I've said it before but Snyder and Capullo would have to fail pretty miserably to disappoint me. This was a unique Batman story. The Batverse is actually moving forward in fun ways that, to my knowledge, it hasn't before!

Bruce Wayne dies and comes back with a completely reconfigured brain basically and he remembers nothing of his time as Batman, so he's no longer Batman. Big company (Powers Inc. or Corp.) that took over Wayne's stuff decides there should still be a Batman working for GCPD, hires Jim Gordan as Batman! He buzzes his hair, loses the glasses and the mustache, and gets some kind of muscle implants? And he has a fun Batbot to be Batman in, and like, a semi-truck Batmobile. Also, there's a new really creepy bad guy: Mr. Bloom, and I'm pretty excited to see what he's going to do.

I like it.

I like the idea of Jim Gordon being Batman and realizing how much Batman does/is able to do for Gotham because Batman doesn't work for the Police. I'm not sure about the Robo-Batmans, though.

Bruces resurrection? Well. What? How? Why? I want more details.

I like Duke and want more of his story!

For the most part I really like the art but one or two stories didn't do anything for me artwise.

Unfortunately, I found this volume to be quite dry - a departure from the riveting others in the series.

I was a little wary of Jim Gordon playing Batman from the start, but I warmed up to the idea as the novel rolled out. A fun read.

It took me a bit to get into this one but we got there. New batman, new suit, new villains, new everything. Just goes to show you that Batman is a symbol and it can be anyone who is him. There's a lot of set up here, a fair amount of shockers, and then a cliffhanger ending just as I was getting into it!

I didn't dislike this one as much as everyone else seemed to. I definitely was not a fan of Gordon being Batman; honestly, it made no sense. But other than that, I thought the story was really interesting and I'm looking forward to reading on to find out what comes next for Bruce.
