i will always be team liwei, but knowing the end, i now see that it was foreshadowed since the beggining, with the contrast between the two covers, the moon (xingyin) and the sun (whenzi) and the similarities between chang'e and houyin's love story and their daughter's <3

Read Daughter of the Moon Goddess first. It would take a bit to get your footing of the story & characters otherwise.

A beautiful to conclusion to The Celestial Kingdom duology. My only major gripe with the first book was the pacing was off, however, in Heart of the Sun Warrior, the pacing was more even and I was able to sink into the story more. I definitely recommend this series, and can't wait to see what Tan puts out next.
