Good writing. Great characters. Gripping romance. Really, what more do I need in my romance books?

At times a very difficult read because of the subject matter (depression, suicidal ideation/attempt), but my biggest worry with setups like these in a romance is that the love story is going to be presented as the cure for the character's illness, and I don't feel like that happened here. One of the things I like most about Roan Parrish books is that her characters primarily just want to take care of each other, but that doesn't mean, like, Faron infantalizing/belittling Jude the way his ex did, but more like, giving him space to have ups and downs and being there regardless.
I have zero negative things to say about this. I thought it was really sweet and thoughtful and plotted right and realistic as far as I know (which is a distant second-hand, so I can miss things). Really enjoyed it.
