My heart ached, my skin was on fire at times and the frustration levels were excruciating to deal with.

It was the slowest of burns.

I loved this the first time I heard it. The next time a little less, but it was still good. I like how they handle scenes and the visuals are great.

This one hits in you in the feels right out the gate.  You feel bad for everyone in this book except the sister for MOST of the story.  There's so much loss and emotion written into this.  If you're not in the mood to feel all the feels, then skip this. But if you enjoy being taken on an emotional journey, I definitely recommend this.  I had a hard time finding a stopping point to put it away.

i have absolutely no words to describe how exactly i am feeling right this moment.

i finished this amazing book so fast and i cant even wrap my head around how freaking incredible it was. literally everything about this book was perfect and i am completely in love with charlee and alex they are the best ever.

i loved this book so very much i wish i could just wrap it around me like a big fluffy fuzzy blanket.

the found family in this is the best and i cried over this book one too many times but i enjoyed every second of it.

also, this book is a freaking gracie abrams song and no one can tell me otherwise.

Beautiful imagery, well developed main and secondary characters, and realistic dialogue.

This was an exhausting read. The writing was beautiful, descriptive and emotional but the amount of unnecessary drama and sobbing were way too much for my taste. The constant jumping between past and present was also confusing at times.
And I just couldn't stop thinking, was all that torture really necessary? Why are these two adult women behaving like teenagers and just couldn't sit and talk to one another? Communicate, people, it's not really that hard!
Hell, if the love of my life is moving across the country I'd just quit my job and move with her instead of feeling like someone is cutting my heart open every single day. And it wouldn't even cross my mind to date anybody else until I know for certain we've exhausted all possibilities of being together and salvaging our relationship. But I guess that's just me.
