The Art of Us follows two main characters, Charlee and Alex. The two meet when they begin college and instantly fall in love. Charlee and Alex are together all throughout college until Alex is offered a career opportunity she can't pass up, but it is on the other side of the country. They try to continue their relationship but the distance becomes too much and they break up. Five years later Alex moves back and their worlds collide once again.

This story is told in the present, when Alex moves back, and has flashbacks to when Charlee and Alex were together in college. This book was absolutely amazing! All the angst, emotions, and heartbreak will pull at your heartstrings in the best way. I did not know much about this book before I read it, but it was such a surprising find. I read it in one sitting because I couldn't put it down. I loved The Art of Us and cannot recommend it enough so do yourself a favor and read it!!

I loved this book. I lost track of how many times I flat out cried. It wasn't overly angsty or dramatic. It told the beautiful story of two girls who fell in love. They were separated by distance and it got too much. I didn't read it as fast as I wanted because it got way too real and raw. But it was beautiful and emotional.
