Eh. I feel like this volume didn't add anything to the storyline. There were some interesting bits near the end, but mostly it wasn't that great. Hopefully the next volume is better, but this series is just so uneven.

A fast read, but not my favorite issue so far. Glad to be getting more backstory, but no idea where it’s all headed.

This series has so many things that irritate me. I wasn't planning on reading more after the 4th book but I'm out of library books and Gordon owns these. When I'm desperate to read, I'm certainly less picky.

Thankfully the cover and title don't say it all. In this volume Yorick's party is on a massively modified cruise ship in pursuit of the ninja who stole Ampersand. When the crew turns out to not be who they thought they were, you can guess what kind of mayhem ensues.

As other's have pointed out in their reviews, the highlight of this collection is the last issue, "Boy Loses Girl". It's nice to have an issue dedicated Beth, and the art is fun, with the switch to old school style dot colouring for part of it.

The rest of the trade is filler, but entertaining filler, with swashbuckling pirates on the high seas.

I’m giving the rest of this series a pass, for many reasons, but if you’re more forgiving of this odd-to-me, possibly normal-for-comics pacing and plotting, I say go for it.
