i can always count on freida to make me want to say wtf after every single book. this one was creepier than the others and gave me chills during certain scenes i couldn’t read it at night. i thought i saw where it was going at one point but NOPE. epilogue had me GAGGED. definitely enjoyed this one but didn’t love the mental health and illness rep as it portrayed many ppl with mental illnesses as dangerous and criminal, so that’s why it isn’t a full 5 stars.

I enjoyed this book, and I’ve always loved Frieda McFadden! The plot twists were surprising and kept me on my toes. The pacing was good and I thought it was cool to have most of the book take place in one night. I will say that this was quite unrealistic, and the story had a lot of holes. But it was a good read!

It all makes sense towards the end of the story but to begin with I assumed the whole book would be predictable and I thought i knew how the book would end; perhaps, Frieda did this deliberately. The ending was shocking, tense and unexpected and I like that the end of the book still leaves us questioning the character.
