I had heard of the off-campus series, but I had been avoiding it due to trigger warnings, and I didn't think I could handle it or enjoy the book. I also contemplated skipping the first book in the series and just trying the other books. I'm so glad I didn't. 

This book managed to stay light-hearted while also dealing with pretty heavy topics that I typically avoid. I can't resist a fake-dating book, and I loved the chemistry between Hannah and Garrett. Can't wait to read the rest of the series.

Obviously not a literary masterpiece, but I had fun reading this. Typical hockey romance, but it touched on a handful of deeper topics that made it more dynamic than your typical surface-level-lighthearted-romance read. 

Most of the time with sports-related romance books, I only read the first book in the series and move on. But I honestly will probably continue on with the series (or at least give the second book a shot). Heck, I stayed up until 4:30am on a Tuesday morning to finish it, so that counts for something.

Quick read and the writing is easy to follow. Good palate cleanser between my typical complex fantasy, literary, or historical fiction reads.

Omg I love Garrett Graham. More specifically, I love how much he loves Hannah. They are just so cute.

Especially the way he gets her back after what his shithead dad did.

First page immediately mentions rape. A lot of swearing and shortened words/slang used in the first chapter. page 14 and “spice” scenes already. i don’t mind a mindless read but it’d also be great if it didn’t feel like i was reading porn on paper !
