It was very cozy and cute at the start but I didn't really like the main characters, and felt the mate mechanic was like beating a dead horse by 30% through. Basically DNF but I started to skim by 70% and just wanted to be done

Orc books are usually very oneminded, they meet they fuck etc. This was a real book, with plot, character development. Sweet, funny and sad at times, i cried out loud! Spice was hot, physically steamy! Excellent Excellent book!

Once they started fucking, the plot and storyline pretty much went out the window. There was a lot of potential for more interesting things, but a solid 40% of this book was pure smut, which I was not expecting. It got to the point where I knew how the sex scenes would go because they happened so often. Also the writing was a little odd and not paced very well.
