It was so exciting to finally read Blair and Cam’s book since we did get a bit of a tease in ‘Playing Hard to Get’

This is book 2 in the Players series and it is just as good as the first one. This book follows Camden and Blair. Camden is the quarterback of the college football team and Blair is his best friend/roommate's little sister. Blair has had a crush on Camden since Knox brought him home with him one summer. Now she is at the same school with them and she has Cam in her sights. But Blair's brother, Knox, has a strict hands off policy when it comes to his baby sister.

Cam and Blair start a secret relationship, both of them struggle with the secrecy of their relationship but Cam is terrified of confessing to his best friend. And he terrified of his feelings for Blair.

I really liked that this book happens simultaneously with the first book: Playing Hard to Get. In that book, you had a feeling something was going on between Cam and Blair, so I loved that we got to go back in this book and see what was really behind those scenes. I also like that you got to see Knox and JoJo's relationship happening from the point of view of Cam and Blair.

I loved Blair in this book! She was not afraid to tell Camden what she wanted, that she believed they would be good together, and she was not afraid to let him go when he couldn't give her what she wanted. She outwardly projected confidence with him, when she really didn't feel it.

Camden was so conflicted over his feelings for Blair and his loyalty to his best friend. He played hot and cold through the book while warring with those 2 feelings. Cam also struggled with his own insecurity and that also contributed to his feelings toward Blair, he didn't think he was good enough.

The chemistry between these two was off the charts. And the spice was perfect, I loved bossy Camden when they finally gave in to their feelings for each other!

This was a great book and a great follow up to Playing Hard To Get. I can't wait for the next book in the series!

This book was an easy read, and it was very cute. But because of there were some cringe parts because of that.

This story is a trope that happens a-lot. The “brother’s best friend” one trope that can be good or bad. This book was in the middle, it wasn’t good or bad.

⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄ Blair in the first book was meant to be kind of nerdy. She was all was studying and was claim. But in this book she was anything, but that. In this one I don’t remember a time when she was like that, she was more of a pick me. She would always be obsessed with cam, and I felt like that was her only personality trait that she had. Which is not a good thing to just be know for.

⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄ Camden was the school’s star Quarterback and gets all of the girls, but the only girl that he wants he can’t get. But they were literally flirting from the start of the book. Cam comes from a broken home we’re his parents are not together, and he doesn’t want to be his dad. But his dad is in his life so much ( but not in the book) like he pays for his car and school, so do you really not like him

The second book in Monica Murphy's The Players series. A brother's best friend sports romance, it was romantic, steamy, and angsty. The fact that this book takes place in the same time period as Knox and Joanna's Playing Hard To Get and that we get to see the two couples interact so frequently made me adore it even more.

Blair was a strong, confident woman who was never afraid to say what she desired or how she felt, often putting Cam in his place. She has so many great moments in the book. Cam was absolutely swoony. From the beginning, he was obsessive and protective of her. He's a calm guy, and I also appreciated the mental health representation.

Overall, I enjoyed it, and excited for the next one!
