"Everything about her is perfection. Like she was made for me."
It was a sweet, steamy and angsty brother's bestfriend sports romance. Since the last book it was obvious that there was something cooking between Blair & Camden but the biggest issue of their relationship was Blair's brother Knox aka Cameron's bestfriend and teammate who had strictly warned all the players to keep away from his off-limits sister. Blair was such a confident girl and had her own ambitions but the one that topped her list was to get the one guy she has a crush on to finally notice her and trust me, Cam noticed her all right. I just didn't like the way the had to keep their relationship a secret but still the stolen moments were pretty good. This book was truly fun, I enjoyed how Cam & Blair flirted all the time and eventually gave in to the temptation. Though I wish Cam was not so scared of Knox finding out. Overall, I still enjoyed reading the book and the last few chapters were adorable especially with Knox & Joanna. It was a 3.5 star read for me.
I received an ARC in exchange of an honest review

Brothers best friend for the win!
So far I think Blair and Cams story is my favorite!
Sweet, steamy, and angsty, everything I love.
Blairs confidence was refreshing, and Cam is just all kinds of hot, the chemistry between these two where off the charts!
Playing By the Rule is an absolute delight to read, just clear your schedule, as you won't want to put this down until it's over.

Thank you so much to @valentine_pr_ & @monicamurphyauthor for the chance to read this ARC ❤️
Brothers best friend has 𝗔𝗟𝗪𝗔𝗬𝗦 been a favourite trope of mine. This one ticked all the boxes and then some. 🫶
Cam & Blair are that forbidden fruit couple. They're not supposed to want each other, they're not supposed to be drawn to each other like magnets but they are and they both know its inevitable.
Their relationship evolves in such a way that you cannot help yourself but fall in love alongside them. They have impeccable 👌 chemistry and the spice is ** chefs kiss ** I find myself needing to know more about not only the MCs but the other characters too.
This is book two in an interconnected series of crossover characters & I'm not joking when I say I'm officially a fan and will be catching up on a back log of Monica's books 😀

I received this from Valentine PR, in exchange for my honest opinion.
Camden Fields is the star quarterback of his college football team, at Colorado University. Blair McGuire is his best friend Knox’s little sister and she just transferred to CU, and is off limits.
Cam is the playboy, and Blair is the quite, and smart nerd. Totally opposites in many ways.
I love the forbidden romance trope, and Monica does it soooo amazingly! The chemistry, angst, and build up was soooooo delicious, and addictive.
Tropes included
- forbidden love
- Best friends sister
- Playboy / good girl
- Sports romance, football
- Spicy
- HAE
I was so frikken excited for Blair and Cam’s story in Playing Hard to get. They did not disappoint. I was happy, giddy, sad and mad during this book. I love a book that makes me feel all these emotions. I loved how Blair knew exactly what she wanted, but was still very vulnerable. Cam was a little bit frustrating at the beginning when he fought his feelings but I get that it was part of the story and that he had to go through so self discovery and development. I loved the growth of the characters by the end of the book. Both of them became stronger characters. Being able to see my babies Knox and Jo again made my heart swell.

Blair has had a crush on Cam since her brother first brought him home. This year she’s finally transferred colleges and is in the same place as him and has decided it’s time to make her move. Cam has always had certain thoughts about his best friends sister but has never acted on them because of Knox. Will he finally stop caring what his best friend thinks and get the girl of his dreams?
Brothers best romances are so much fun and I loved this one. I liked that they both have always kind of had a crush on each other but never acted on it. I really enjoyed that before that started anything they took a little bit of time to get to know each other as friends. It was fun seeing her tempt him and try to get him to fall in love with her.
Cam is such an idiot and I love him for that. He kept insisting that he wasn’t looking for a relationship when that was clearly all he wanted with Blair. I really liked seeing him get jealous and fall into her little traps every time.
I enjoyed the break up scene but I wish that he said a little more during it. The way Cam really worked on himself during that month warms my heart. He wanted to get better so he could be a good man for her. I also loved the moment when he finally told her that he loved her. It was so satisfying and it was exactly what Blair needed. Also those two epilogues are adorable and I hope to see more of them in Ruby’s book.
