I don’t care where you are in your writing process—amateur, novice, or pro—Dr. Lockhart’s work will energize your imagination and writing process. She does a deep dive into characterization, plot, and story while giving authors practical exercises designed to teach us how to bring our personal experiences fully into our stories. It’s a great book I will refer to often.
I would also suggest that if you ever get the opportunity to take one of Dr. Lockhart’s workshops to sign up if you can. She is an enthusiastic presenter who brings her teaching experience to the table and leaves writers inspired.
