While a lot different than the books i normally read- i am VERY glad i picked this one up. I genuinely enjoyed the writing style and the overall plot (despite it being VERY predictable). I was, however, very disappointed in the language used to describe the patients. There was a large overuse of the word crazy and perpetuated the idea that the mentally ill are all violent. The ending also did not help the stereotype of this- which is surprising considering McFadden is a practicing physician
