As with the previous volume, this collection closes out a great run featuring Marguerite Bennett and the top of her game and Fernando Blanco churning out some absolutely gorgeous, consistent illustrations.

I really enjoyed this.

It is the finale of this story.

It was great to see how Marguerite was going to close out this series.

I really had fun reading about these characters and seeing how they were going to get through all they were dealing with.

It was great ending.

I liked the art in this run. The story felt a little scattered at times, but it came together enough in the end that I was satisfied. I look forward to more Batwoman adventures in the future.

Visually, this is wonderful stuff. There are some two-page spreads in here that take advantage of Batwoman’s red/black colour scheme to the fullest. But the story, especially the use of Beth, felt like a re-tread.

i love Batwoman but the way she was written is so inconsistent. and not in the fun, "this character is flawed" way. it just seemed like the author didn't know that to do with her. and i am also getting increasingly annoyed with Batman holier-than-thou attitude. was it always this annoying or is it getting worse?

It is kind of awkward to read, on 2021, a story about a bat related virus being released and causing chaos.

Besides the obvious oddness of a virus related storyline, this volume had good art and good themes; Kate's arc about where her loyalties land and how this affects her decisions is rather good and the confrontations with Beth and Batman worked quite well.

Still, can't get over how much this feels like a rushed ending; the Many Arms of Death being just mildling villains to give room to Alice kind of sucks. It feels like a bigger story cut short and though the themes are strong, the overall plot of this series ends up being OK.

Batwoman is one of my favorite members of the Batfamily and I feel like Bennet and the artists of this run did a good job at going deep into Kate's mind and her own struggles, and I'm saddened that we didn't see more of this run and that it's been a while since Kate got her own series.
