Ended the series well. It seemed to feel more rushed towards the end which was disappointing as I am invested in the characters after 3 previous books. I liked the twist it took though. I enjoy the author’s writing.

➽ Take all the scrumptious entertainingness of books 1, 2 and 3 in this series, and then add:

① Deals with supposedly dead, psychopathic neuromancers.

Most delicious blood magic *waves at KD*

Beheading arch-demons as a hobby. Ah, that warm, joyful feeling you get when severing little heads! There’s nothing quite like it, if you ask me.

So happy you agree with me, H! Oh, by the way, meet Herbert, my neighbour. He kinda sorta likes it when limbs and appendages get chopped off and stuff. He really is a lovely sort of um, chum.

④ Treacherous bastards and villainous mages and screeching bitches, oh my!

Razor chain whips, aka the first item on my 2019 Christmas wishlist.

⑥ The most notorious madman since the Nazis.

Looks harmless enough, doesn’t he? Yeah, the guy’s cunningly deceptive like that.

⑦ Suspiciously suspicious old-timey miner wannabes, complete with weathered skin, long scraggly beards, and suspenders over grimy shirts. Sexey.

Splotchy skin and boiling blisters, yum!

⑨ Zombies as ventriloquist dummies, aka the second item on my 2019 Christmas wishlist.

⑩ It’s final smackdown time, you bloody shrimping assholes moderately contemptible persons of somewhat disputable morals! Woohoo and stuff!

Shake it all and mix it all and stir it all and whisk it all, and what do you get? Well, something kinda sorta like this:

Nefarious Last Words (NLW™): no, this series will not win the Pulitzer Prize. Neither will it be awarded the Nobel Prize of Literature (then again, who knows)? But it is fun as fish AND enjoyable as shrimp AND fast-paced AND not infected with the deadly Stupidly Stupid Highly Flammable Ground-Breaking UF Crap Virus (SSHFGBUCV™) AND the MC is female and youngish but not a complete harebrained nitwit (cross my black withered heart and hope to slaughter puny humans and stuff). Ergo: if a mindless, rollicking good time looking for you are, then read this boisterous romp of a blessedly short, completed series you must. You are most welcome and stuff.
