this was a good book but I do prefer the sequel, it just had a bit more pace and was more interesting. however, I am most definitely excited for the next books and will gladly continue this series!

Loved it, esp. the detail about different facial expressions of different aliens I found that quite interesting. Quite proud that I guessed one of the plot reveals and excited to read the next one

I mistakenly picked this up before reading Skyward, so I'll come back to this and see what I think afterwards. I just feel that this book has more filler to it than is strictly necessary.
