I found this book to be very comprehensible for readers well versed in trans right while also being super accessible for those who are not - despite feeling relatively knowledgeable (for a cis woman) on the subject myself, I still learned quite a bit. It is both a mixture of a memoire diving into Lester's experience while also diving into the current political climate of these issues in the world presently. I would highly recommend the ebook as the format allowed you to click into links if you are unaware or lacking context of the specific examples given. I would argue that this is a must read for right now and meets you at your knowledge - would highly recommend.

I found it to be a pretty enjoyable read - if you're well read about trans issues and the struggle for rights (or are trans with lived experiences) it isn't something groundbreaking or particularly new. I do think it offers a useful and personal insight into a lot of matters as well as giving detail of the struggles a single trans person can face in their life.
Overall, informative without being to heavy on the triggering topics! Better for people just starting to read about trans issues but worthwhile for people more versed.

I didn't realise I knew nothing until I read this book. Eyes have been opened, at least a little. Trans women are women, trans men are men.
