This is a great book to make a case for why visual literacy is important. There are clues in the illustrations that help readers better process the surprise ending.

I remember when I was younger and every teacher I had would read this on the first day of school. I was the kid that would always get so nervous, so that helped me a lot! :)

I am not sure I can even comment on this one without spoiling it. Let me just say that I loved the twist in the book. Children and teachers will relate fully to the story about first school day jitters. A fun read.

Read for Back to School

This is a cute children’s picture book about a girl named Sarah who is anxious and nervous about her first day at a new school. She is dragged there kicking and screaming, and when the principal introduces her to the class, there is a surprise twist
