When I finished this book I was left with a big smile on my face!
Having read nothing by Tom Robbins, I only picked up this novel because of a recommendation, I didn't know what to expect. However, I soon became obsessed with his effortless writing style, which made TPP feel like a game.

I forgot how much I love his writing. Although since I read most of his books in high school and early college, I may not have appreciated his language and simply enjoyed the quirky stories. Either way, I want to go back and reread some of his stuff now.

Loved this book, as always with Tom Robbins. Different but interesting and I am not a bit surprised that he's had such an interesting life. I can see his influences within this and was especially excited about the last third of the book when he started talking about each of my favourite tomes. His very vocal dedication to literature is truly an inspiration.

Tom Robbins has amazing skill with language. There is beauty in the strangeness.

As always, great writing, but full of non-sequiturs. Wanted more about him personally--he is a very interesting character--and less about how he came up with the plots for his books.
