It’s… an ending. I think it fitting at least. This book was better than book 4, but not as good as the first three. A little slow in the beginning, but picked up nicely.

This was not as confusing as 3 to follow, but it did leave me with unanswered questions. Did the earth die again at the end? Was the earth they were on in this book the same earth as book 4? Was the parallel universe the cause of the new earth in 4? I think not but I don't know. Also hated that Arthur's girlfriend was lost.

I listened to the audio-book read by Martin Freeman. It was SO good! He performed beautifully for the different characters.

“Let the past hold on to itself and let the present move forward into the future.”

This was not the ending I was hoping for.
But since we have parallel universes; is this truly the end?

I finally read them all! I read [b:The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy|386162|The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, #1)|Douglas Adams|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1559986152l/386162._SX50_.jpg|3078186] when I was younger but never read more than the first book.

I enjoy the humor and sarcasm and the unexpectedly outrages things that can happen quite out of the blue. The wacky relationship between Arthur and Ford is also one of the reasons that kept me reading on.

This was an epic journey and I will readily go on it again, and again, and again.
