I liked the idea of this storyline, and I feel like the filmmakers did an excellent job of making this palatable. The writing is just trash, and not because of the content, the romanticized version of BDSM sort of works, although I think it's completely unrealistic. The grammar, sentence structure, and repetitive nature of certain words and phrases was absolutely off putting. It's as if this guy forgot that thesauruses existed and simply copied and pasted from one love scene to another, like we wouldn't notice. I get that this started out as Twilight fan fiction, but did it have to digress in writing style this far? If you've seen the movie, do yourself a favor and call it good. There's not more insight to be had by bothering with the books.
