This one was absolutely the cutest! I wasn’t sure what to expect out of this one because all of the teasers made it seem so absolutely different from the other books in the series.

Leo and Finn start playing an online game together and they just happen to go to the same school, even though they don’t know that yet. Leo is painfully shy & because of some childhood bullying trauma he has a lot of anxiety surrounding that shyness. He’s barely had some friendships so he definitely never had any romantic relationships.

When him and Finn finally meet in person they quickly develop a very close friendship that involves playing games, sleepovers, and cuddling. They are convinced their friendship can look like whatever they want it to. Then there are dares, and kissing, and by the time they can admit to themselves it’s a relationship….their friends and family are just glad they finally caught up! 😂

When I say I’ve loved all the LSU MCs, I really have. Ander & Elliot were my favorite for the longest, but Leo and Finn have definitely taken that spot & I can’t imagine anyone else being able to take it away. We have one more book in this series and I can’t wait to see what Becca gives us next time!

This was the most boring friends to lovers in my entire life. They were cute but so plain. Nothing interesting was happening just two guy how would dare each others to kiss and then go and make each others going out with girls. There was no plot whatsoever and that was such a disappointment because I really was looking forward to those two.

I am such a sap for this trope. This is very much the oblivious best friends who are actually boyfriends and don't realize it it plot and I enjoyed every second of it. There was zero angst in the relationship which is a breath of fresh air when it comes to a double (queer?) awkeninging. I would say bi awakening
but one of the mcs is demi sexual/romantic so I think queer fits better.
this book gives Cora Rose's Unexpected series vibes. The easy "this is my person regardless of gender" plot which as a pan person - I eat that up because for me love shouldn't be about what genitals someone has so reading a book couple who naturally progress into this type of relationship and thinking - is my krytonite. This is one of those sweet reads with two green flag characters and probably my favorite book from this author.
