I loved how this novel flipped between several generations..beautifully crafted story. Unlike some books, I was unable to predict the outcome. Two words: Page Turner.

4.5 🌟.
It took a while, but I'm finally finished my first Kate Morton! And I loved it. The writing was beautiful, the characters, although many, were glorious.
My only issue was some confusion I had while reading. Now this could be in part because of my incredibly slow pace while reading this novel, but I also felt that there were so many characters throughout the story to try to remember who they all were and how they all fit together.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book and I look forward to reading more of hers in the future!
I'd recommend this novel.

Apparently you either love or hate this book, and because I've already read so many like it and the 13th tale as well, I fell into the second category. The book was loaned to a friend who usually likes the same books I like, and she has been struggling with it as well. She put it most succinctly: I can't stop rolling my eyes. The writing is easily read and obvious. The story is intriguing, though. If it was a movie of the week it would be on LifeTime Chanel, and I'd watch it.

Kate Morton did it again 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I read a comment that said only Kate can make houses main characters and that's true.
The imagery was amazing, so many cliff hangers and secrets to unfold.. I was not able to put this book down I had to know what happened.
