Glad that Kai and Paedyn got closure and their HEA, but so much of the book felt forced and repetitive. Sigh. Powerless was by far the best in the series.

I had a hard time rating this one. I did love so much about this book. Everything about Kai is perfection, I love him so much.
I thought the storyline with Mak coming back was so interesting but for him just to die so quickly that hurt.
I thought the flashbacks with Edric were so interesting and I enjoyed having those secrets unraveled.
So much happened in this book it felt like 2 books in one.
I didn’t love the ending with Kurt as much as I was hoping which is what stopped me from giving it 5⭐️
