Finally. The long awaited audiobook finally came thru on Libby. From the start I am enraptured and eating it up. Kai fucking Azer, yes please. Lauren, girl, you’re killing us. Could we PLEASE get an adult, spicier version of this series?! I need to know what Kai The Enforcer Azer is like between the sheets. All that aside, I am sorely disappointed in this book. It was much too long and a bit of a repeat with more trials to prove oneself. Without spoiling anything, I also couldn’t totally buy into some of the ill-intentions of a certain character, even though it wasn’t completely under their control (sorry that was so vague but I don’t want to spoil). Some good shocks and plot twists that were indeed believable and did add to the plot and the overall “why”. Other things not so much but I digress. I still love Kai and truthfully why I kept reading this book. I also really loved the writing style. I could definitely see myself reading more Lauren Roberts, but unfortunately I can’t say that I highly recommend this book. It just didn’t do it for me though I did thoroughly enjoy books 1 & 2.

This book is WAYY better than the previous books- the writing style has definitely improved, and the character development was good as well. At first it was slow-paced (not boring tho) but the last 150-200(?) was SOO quick
