Holy plot twists! This book made me feel like I was in the Twilight zone, in the best way. I literally didn’t see any of the twists coming and the whole time I was just as confused as the main character. As always, Shantel killed it with the spice. It wasn’t the spiciest book I’ve read of hers but it was still so hot and made me squirm. I’ll never look at a football the same

I have to admit that this one had me trying to DEVOUR it! At times I felt like I didn’t know if I was coming or going. What was real? What was a lie? Who is good or bad? Everyone’s motives seem questionable. We have Henley, who seems very sweet but is also very stubborn and has the heart of a lion. She’s a party girl, but until “the night” she’s always been by the side of her best guy friends and her friend Jamie. The four main guys... There’s Scout, Law, Monroe, and Rellik. Each guy has a different relationship with Hen, some even changing over the course of the book. Until close to the end, I wasn’t even sure I had a guess what the truth was! One thing that amazed me about this one was that as the book played out, there were adults that figured prominently in a way that actually showed they wanted to be parents in a “ride or die” sort of way. I want parents that show up in books like this more often. I don’t mean the ones that show up to hide their kids bad decisions because that happens all the time, but the ones that show up when the kids make the hard choice because it’s the right one or protect someone they love. These characters are going to stick with me and I can’t help hoping we revisit some of them again!

Wow this book was emotional, intense, heartbreaking and mind blowing roller coaster ride. I found Henley to be a very strong character and I really admired her for doing the right thing even though the consequences were awful. I did find her to be annoying and incredibly stupid when she would purposely put herself in a situation where she knew the boys would do something to her.

So I couldn’t really stand Ryan Scout, Van Rellik, Dax Monroe and Grayson Law for the most of the book. But I have to admit that Grayson really started to grow on me and he became my favourite character. Did he earn redemption? No he probably didn’t. Do I really care? Nope I definitely don’t.

This was a great book that left me wanting more. I loved the intensity, steamy scenes, mysteriousness and that unpredictable ending.

I recieved an advanced copy for free, and this is my honest opinion.

This was definitely dark and twisted.
What seems to have been a betrayal to the main
leading MCs-->Law, Monroe, Scout, and
Rellik...aka The Reapers of Westbrook by the
heroine Henley. The group was close before Henley
accused one of them of murder, something she witnessed...
but all is not as it seems. So the want revenge any way
they can take it for the betrayal. They don't believe her.
This has multiple POV's, and I really enjoyed the way the
author went about it. She gave each character their turn.
You get a glimpse at how the story unfolds for each of them individually. What they're thinking and experiencing.
I love the build up, because It keeps you guessing till the very end.

Dark and Twisted!
This one left me questioning my morals. But it was so good I couldn't put it down! I love dark romance and this was one of the darkest I've read in a while. The author does not hold back! Definitely not for safe readers. It is a total mindf*ck!
