The long and short of this one is that the story of Nina is one of the saddest I've ever read. FMA has a knack for hitting you right in the feels quickly and with efficacy.

Alchemist brothers Edward and Alphonse Elric continue their search for the Philosopher’s Stone and happen to make some progress. On the way they meet a sinister foe called Scar who is on a mission to kill all State Alchemists.

Enjoyed getting stuck into the story a little more. Definitely have a better sense now of the overarching story. The story of the alchemist who turns his daughter and dog into a chimera is so sad and horrifying.

(3.5) so uhhhhhh this was dark lol. also, 25% of this book is just a bunch of adults ragging on and bullying a 15-year-old — lovin’ it.
