Increasingly dark, this picks up immediately where the first volume left off, but wades into the dark moments from before the story's start as well. Hikaru's body, the being inside him, and the desire to touch and be touched all come closer, but the lingering fear at hand is if growing closer to Hikaru will end up pulling the area closer into darkness.... and if it will bring more people with it.
Delightfully dark, filled with moments of body horror, and ending on cliffhangers and tense moments, this one is going to have you reaching for the next volume the second you turn the last page.

This series continues to fire on all cylinders.
It does an excellent job at having this sense of dread and foreboding with the anticipation of something tragic around the eventual corner while also being so incredibly sweet, cute, and at times funny.
Any more attempt at a review would take away from the loveliness and beauty that is this series. So instead I shall just go read more. All the stars for Hikaru and Yoshiki.

"but is danger all there is to him"
the mystery is mystering, a romance is romancing, and they are both very intriguing and unique and I am nervous. I also can't get over how detailed the art style is, it even made a bathtub look gorgeous

The metaphors for experimenting with gay smex in a close-minded country town D: God, I love this art style and want a tattoo of Hikaru going monster-mode. Major Omori vibes. They’re so cute it makes me sick!!!
