War with the Bookburner has arrived, how will Jack charm his way out of this one?
A much better installment in this series which rollicked along at a decent pace. The last few pages containing several revelations about Jack's parentage and kin were an absolute cracker; I didn't know whether to cringe or chortle! It'll be interesting to see how the refugee Fables and Literals settle into Fabletown, which is now under threat on two fronts.
This collection has redeemed the series for me :) It has the engaging story the last couple volumes lacked. Welcome back, Jack!
"everybody... read for your lives!"
Although ante-mortem, a great homage to Ray Bradbury.

Well I continue to catch up with Jack Trick so I can get back to Fables. This particular volume had very little movement in plot. It seems to be more of a set up for the crossover volume. I will say that there was an interesting twist at the end of this volume, but still it was just ok.
Another fun volume that plays with the structure of a war story while also mocking it lead.
