This is why we don’t stray from the clearly marked paths kids! Major Predator vibes (in the best way).

I LOVE Darcy Coates. Love her.

This was probably one of my least favorite of hers but I still really enjoyed the ride. I read it in a day (with breaks) which is unbelievably fast for me.

It's unlike the other books of hers I've read. Normally, her books consist of hauntings and the like but this is COMPLETELY different. I actually have a fear of hiking alone in the woods for various reasons so this book definitely played on that fear!

I'd definitely recommend it. :)

Really good story. It lost me a little when I thought it was leaning more into the supernatural, but it sucked me back in when I realized everything happening was real and not paranormal. Creepy, tense, and you truly feel the characters personalities. Great read!

Finally, I found a DC novel to enjoy!! Did have a lot of similarities to other stories in this genre, BUT the ending got me! Why hiking isn't far up on my to-do list...Great characters, nicely done!

I usually give a book a fair chance before I decide whether or not I dnf it, but in this case, I made an exception. I've read 3 pages about Todd and I was already so annoyed that I stopped reading the book. Todd is that kind of "friend" that wants to tell Eileen what to do, what to eat and what to drink. Oh, and he is totally not a creep for spending his time repeatedly refreshing her facebook page to see if she posted something new. Nope, not a creep, just concerned, after all, he said so himself!

Nope sorry, too much of a red flag. If I wanted to read about creepy controlling stalkers, I'd picked a book about that topic.

Overall it was really enjoyable. Each chapter changes POV and it was kinda hard to read from Todd’s perspective, he was a very unlikeable character.

This book hits the ground running and does not slow down at all.

Hunted had me on the edge of my seat the whole way along. Every twist was unexpected and every perspective was a new adventure.
