Short easy read that could be quirky some moments, and sad others. Explores loneliness, motherhood, and patriarchal constructs. Loved it for its simplicity, but didn’t necessarily stand out to me. Might read again.

I don't really know that I have words for this book. I enjoyed it a lot, it was difficult to put down. This story was beautifully written and I definitely have to get my hands on some more books by Sayaka Murata. Keiko was an amazingly written character and she really goes to show how it doesn't matter what you do and what others think as long as you are happy.

I wonder if I read same book as everyone else who reviewed here. I didn’t find it so funny.
