I've heard of hate s*x, but this for me was a hate read. i wish i was the kind of person who had no issues with dnf'ing a book.
what was wrong? well im glad you asked. there was:
made up words (but like, not in the typical fantasy way as opposed to the this-person-failed-english-at-school kind of way)
terrible grammar
tautologies and redundancies
non-existent writing style, just sentences slung together.
terrible character interactions everyone is smirking and grinning all the time
if i read the word "drawled" one more time im going to top myself
characters hate each other as age old enemies and then are flirting with each other a single sentence clause later
the romance was cringey unfun uncute and i was rolling my eyes several times a chapter
the smut was very much repetetive and boring. apparently every character can 'finish'with just a glance or a voice
all of the pearl-clutching plotwists are obvious from the outset of the 'foreshadowing'
i didnt pay for me copy and i still didnt get my moneys worth
