Yaaaaaaawn. Where's the author's passion? Everything was stated so matter-of-factly that it was hard to feel anything for any of the characters. I just couldn't wait for it to be over.

Listened to an abridged version on BBC Radio 4. Very moving and intimate. Short book but the length felt right for the story.
