Might revisit next year, but just wasn’t grabbing me and I’ve moved on now.
Cute and cozy! The beginning was just a little slow for me, but it was building towards a really sweet ending.
My eyes are misty, my heart is full, this book is the perfect little holiday companion! The story seems simple at first but in time each character reveals their vulnerabilities in an authentic way adding layers and weight to the lightheartedness.
I adore the vibe of this book specifically the touches of mystical magic realism that I wish were pushed slightly further, and I could see myself coming back to it just for that comfort. Although moments feel a little on the nose and verge on cheesy I think they balance some of the heavier emotional beats creating a unique holiday dramedy.

A December to Remember is a sweet story that follows three estranged sisters as they find their way back to each other. They are given a task to complete by their recently decreased father that forces them to spend time together and finally see who each other are as adults. They each have something going on that they need to work through with the help of their family. It was very relatable. The novel focuses mostly on the sisters relationship with each other but there are romances throughout. I loved that the main characters were in their late 30's early 40's, it gave a different perspective on the romances and issues that arose. I enjoyed this book; it was heartwarming and funny with addition of the quirky meddlesome community it was perfect feel good Christmas read.
I'm one who will pick up any Christmas-themed book, and since I really liked the 12 Dates of Xmas, I expected something similar here. I guess I didn't do enough research on this one because the story was about 3 estranged sisters being forced to work together to revive the town's traditional Winter Solstice celebration.
It was cute, but it didn't have enough of that Xmas romance I wanted - and that was my bad for going blindly into the book.

This was such a sweet story! I loved seeing the three sisters become close again and I also loved how different and distinct/memorable each of them were. The winter solstice celebration was so cozy and I loved seeing everyone work together to bring it together! This was a really unique book and so perfect for Christmas time
