I don’t fully understand what wassail is but after reading this magical book I want to go wassailing at winter solstice.
I started reading this book last year and couldn’t get into it before my library loan expired. This year I started it again as an audiobook/kindle library read and was delighted with this beautiful story.
Definitely more of a winter book vs a Christmas story, I think this would be excellent to read during the week between Christmas and new years highly recommend the audio - the narration really helped it come to life.
