I absolutely adore this book. Fresh storyline- I adored the town, Nordic type feel to all of it. A completely wholesome Christmas novel that we look for every year.

Sought this one out after reading Kiss Me At Christmas*. Jenny Bayliss is officially a must-read author for me now. This book is so lovely. It centers on three VERY different sisters brought together by the death of their father, how they reconnect with each other and the community of their childhood summers, as well as each of their own personal relationships. Bonus points for depicting LGBTQ+ romance with equal weight alongside heteromance, infertility and the way it wrecks us, parenting teens/young adults, Winter Solstice (instead of focusing on Christmas or Hanukkah), and protagonists all 30+ years of age.
*Bayliss is a brilliant writer but these books seriously need better titles.

Adorable book, really made me want to celebrate the winter solstice. Just lovely all around.
Three estranged sisters come together at their late father’s request to reinstate the Winter Solstice celebration in his British small town.
A cozy read with multiple romantic storylines (of the closed door variety) however the main story is about family and the sisters reconnecting with each other and the community of Rowan Thorp.
I love a good seasonal read and this has the winter/ holiday theme with happy-ever-afters that feel good to dive into amidst the bustling month of December.

4.5 stars
This is me not understanding how this story is only rated a 3.7 stars. I thought the dynamic of each sister and what they brought to the table was perfection. The growth and development of each North sister left me feeling pleased to the bone and the humor was perfectly placed amidst the drama of this woman fiction. There were a lot of real issues that people and specifically women face brought to attention Jenny Bayliss address them with such tender care. It may have been a but long for what it was but it allowed you extra time to get emotionally involved with the sisters, their families, and their community.
