Instant attraction becomes a complicated love story. Malone brings the fire. Takeover is an emotional tidal wave. From a scorching battle of wills to a frustrating battle of hearts, Gwen and Atticus hold nothing back. Irresistible, unpredictable, flameworthy, heartbreaker.
I swear, it’s becoming too common to read about FMC’s who think that being a mouthy, catty, insufferable PITA while verbally abusing the MMC will make them appear strong and independent. It’s not enjoyable for a character to have a chip on their shoulder and to treat people poorly for 60 to 70% of a book. Being Tenacious, is a valuable trait, but acting out due to an inferiority complex is extremely unattractive in a main character.
A lack of chemistry/dialogue between these two main characters, and then a cliffhanger? Absolutely not. I will not be continuing the series.

This audiobook about Gwen, FMC, trying to save her father’s company that is struggling as well as save the jobs of everyone there. Atticus, MMC, is the billionaire who wants to takeover Gwen’s father’s business with conditions that Gwen is to marry Atticus and Atticus has to save the jobs of the people who work there even though Gwen’s father wanted Atticus to marry Gwen’s younger sister, but Gwen voluntarily agreed to the arrangement so that her 18 year old sister could live her life.
The story has many twists, turns and heat, as well as a hidden dark secret. And this hidden dark secret may cost Atticus what he truly wants.
This is first book I’ve had the pleasure of listening to of Nana Malone. I was enthralled from the start. And the ending just ripped at my heart!! That cliffhanger has me running to check to see if a second audiobook or if I need to get the book. Would definitely recommend.
🎧 📚 The narrators of this book were Dane Anderson and Nikko Austen Smith. First I will say, I do prefer duets when listening to audiobooks, so it did take me a little bit to get into the transitions when they were doing the male and females parts. Nikko was captivating and her voice had a sweet nature that I could visualize with Gwen. Dane has an alluring voice that I enjoyed for the MMC and did a superb job!

I literally devoured this book. I absolutely adore the arranged marriage/billionaire trope so I was immediately drawn to this book. This was fast paced, spicy and emotional and I loved every second of it. The only thing is the pacing felt a bit off to me in some points but I think that may have been because so much was going on throughout the book and it all happened in 300 pages. also the ENDING??? I was absolutely not expecting that plot twist and cliffhanger and I absolutely need the next book NOW

OMG! This book was so so good once I started reading it I couldn't put it down. This is the first book in Atticus and Gwen's story.
From the first moment Atticus lays eyes on Gwen he craves her. There is an intense attraction and what Atticus wants Atticus gets.
Gwen is an independent smart woman who cares deeply for the people around her and this predicament puts her in a position to agree to an arrange marriage in order to save her sister and the company she has work so hard to save. The fiancee is no other than Atticus but as much as he infuriates her, he also awakes hidden desires with in her.
I love how Atticus and Gwen's relationship develops and how he falls first. I love the bossy and protective side of Atticus and he says the dirties freaking sexy things ever.
There is definitely drama, conflict emotions and many insecurities regarding the business merger. The Takeover on Gwen's family company is happening but the ending of the story left me hanging by a treat, what a twist and now I'm desperate for book two.

This is a fast paced read. It’s a King Arthur retelling. Atticus and Gwen have potential. It would be interesting to see how the relationship develops over the series. The cliffhanger has me ready for book 2.

Started off interesting and lost it's intrigue 50% in. If it was a duology I would be more incline to contine.
This book is fantastic and the author just got a super fan with me. It’s the first book Ive read by this author and boy, she didn’t disappoint. The storyline is based around an arranged marriage where the main male character falls in love first. I couldn’t put this story line down because I had to know what happened next. This is some of my favorite character development I’ve ever read..
The ending… my mind is blown and how it ended. I cant wait for book two to come out.
