Dnf think I got halfway through and was very bored I didn't care for any of the characters I did read the end couple of pages and thought what was the point

I loved this. It made me feel like I was a kid reading fairy tales again. Will definitely be reading her other books!

This book had an interesting concept but sadly was way too rushed executed. It starts off interesting enough but loses the apeel soon because of the rushed execution. One of the reasons for that is surely the whole plot happened within a few days forcing any kind of development to be rushed. For example within 20 pages we go from 'I can never tell him, ever' to 'we are friends now, I need to tell him'. Still it made the plot unconvincing.
The heroine was very narrow minded and impulsive, she could not think father than to the tip of her nose, she never considered consequences and on top of that she became sometimes embarrassing naive.
I did enjoy the combat scenes and some of the descriptions had an cinematic feeling. But all in all it was a disappointing read.

Give this snake lady a break. I love how this story stands on its own and later connects with Six Crimson Cranes. Only Elizabeth Lim could make me enjoy angsty finales.
